apperance...Her body whispers strong, powerful. When she walks, the muscles glisten underneath a short pelt of spotted fur. When she talks, her fangs shine the strangest gleam of ivory. And her grey eyes spark with an undying flame. Although she is female, her large size and rather boyish attitude could be mistaken for male. Her spots, which are common in almost all leopard species, are in straight pattern, one spot following the other covering her entire body. The spots in size are rather small around her face, growing in size as it changes to her neck and throughout her body. With long teeth and claws, she proves to a vicious predator. Often she has a lackadaisical frown on her lips and more often, a snarl. Her back and back legs are covered with crisscrossed scars, and her ears are nearly nonexistent on her head, as they have bitten off and scratched off. She can be a little hard of hearing, but mostly she uses her ears as an excuse not to listen to complainers or whiners.
personality...Wrenstar is not lazy, she merely 'lacks motivation' and hates to be even thought of lazy. She enjoys sleep and hates effort, work and often will slack off her duty for an extra moments of sleep. In fact, Wrenstar is known to slack off and disappear for hours on end. Some have tried to follow her, but she either disappears, or they find that she does nothing but sleep. Lenient when it comes to punishment and responsibilities, and laid back to the rest of the clans and the dangers of the world, Wrenstar is run-by-the-mill, wherever the flow of the world takes her. Floating down the river and over the waterfall with the rest of the driftwood. Get past her 'lack of motivation', and you find a strictly loyal, if not pessimistic person. Her loyalty comes straight from the heart, and though it takes some time, she will fight for anything she believes in, and has proven her loyalty by the scars she bears.
Her pessimism comes from a past filled with hurt and bitterness. In fact, her sarcastic tongue and rebellious nature comes from rebelling against her father. With a sharp wit, and even sharper tongue, Wrenstar is brutal with her insults and is known to lose her temper in the worse of ways, driving people to the point where they want to attack. The bitterness that she can show to an enemy can make people stop and stare, so similar to her father that she will turn on any clan mate that say she's her father's daughter. Of course, now a day, Wrenstar is shown reluctant respect and sometimes admiration, which she laps up shyly, frowning and laughing at any compliment she receives.
However, Wrenstar is a joker, a laugher and has a habit of nick-naming anyone and everyone she sees. She has a habit of laughing in the face of danger, and giggling while she bleeds, her habit of coping with pain. Her father taught her the hard way how to fight and properly defend herself, the cause of most of the scars on her body, half of the stuff she knows comes from her father's secret training, not her mentor. Not only that, she can make hell freeze over with the words that pour from her mouth when she gets angry. So, just watch where you step.
Another trait of Wrenstar, that could be confused for being sadistic, is her bluntness. Wrenstar never dodges the truth. She tells it as she sees, and her words can shock people, anger them. Although she lies frequently to skip out on duties, she never holds back in fright that she might hurt someone or scare them. Not known for being the wisest or fastest or even the oldest, Wrenstar has strength, an inability to be consumed by lies or perish by a cruel hand. Known for her strength in battle, and her strength in words, Wrenstar, in the most troubling of times, has contagious charisma, that truly makes people strong when she opens her mouth to speak and to defend her clan.
history...Wrenstar's history begins with her parents. Featherheart was a wild she-cat, with a heart made out of gold, but insatiable thirst for adventure. Chazz was a lurking loner who had saved Featherheart when she crossed into the paws of some crazed, bloodthirsty rogues, with a bone to pick with the clan cats. Having fallen head over heels for the bloodthirsty one, Featherheart brought him home, and Chazz became Wildclaw. Wildclaw had his doubts about Starclan but he loved Featherheart and proved the perfect warrior for Leopardclan. Soon, Wrenkit and Loudkit were born, their third sibling stillborn and buried right away. Both Wildclaw and Featherheart loved their kits with all their hearts, and wasn't until six moons, when Wrenkit, now Wrenpaw and Loudkit, Loudpaw were apprentices that Featherheart was killed over a skirmishes with the borders.
Wildclaw went a little over the top, accidentally hurting his own clanmates in the fray. Wrenstar remembers watching her father bury her mother, snarling at any cat that tried to show any grievances or tried to help the tom.
Wildclaw was harsh, and not pleased with their mentor's teachings, he dragged his children out and showed them how to kill. To fight. Her spine would ache, her bones would break. But even so, she crept into the medicine cat's den, refusing to tell the truth of her scars.
However one night, Wrenpaw woke up and didn't feel Loudpaw beside her. Frightened, the entire camp was turned upside down, but they never found him. Wrenstar was broken inside and although Leopardclan held a ceremony for Loudpaw, Wrenstar refused to believe that Loudpaw was dead. His son's lost only made Wildclaw more desperate to change his daughter and during one of those training sessions that Wildclaw raked his claws down her back and left her there to bleed. He never returned, probably to stake down the killers. Instead, Wrenstar became a warrior, frequent to being alone and breaking the rules she didn't seem fit to follow. Her dreams were haunted by nightmares of her brother and mother, and the pain her legs would flare, causing her to kick out and offend the other warriors. Blind to her father's rage, Wrenstar had a fairly normal five, maybe six moons when her father returned and continue the painful battle sessions, dragging her away when she was resting and avoiding duties. It was in one of those training sessions she lost her ears, letting the medicine cat treat her in secret. She lost her mentor in a battle, and consumed by the lost of her only fatherly figure, the leader took it upon himself to train her.
She was bitter, a part of her blaming him for the lost of her mother, the other just plain lonely. No friends, no family, she was an outsider within her own clan. But she could make the leader laugh, and she found herself falling into a steady pace with him.
It was when she was on a border patrol with the leader, did her father attack. Launching himself on to the leader's back, the two grappled while an apprentice ran for help. Having some allies with him, bloodshed ensued until a caterwaul attracted the attention of everyone. Wildclaw and the leader had fallen into the river, and with the rising current they were being swept away, exhausted from their cuts and efforts to kill on another. One cat dove into the river, Wrenstar. Being swept away as well, the small patrol had no choice but to continue the fight until the rogues ran away in fear. Racing up the river, they found Wrenstar hanging over a body, quiet unidentified. It was only when the medicine cat approached with his apprentice, did he recognize she had saved her leader and left her father to drown in raging waters, or so they thought. While limping back to the camp, the shadows whispered to the wind. He had not drowned, but lived, slinking in the shadows.
The two cats were treated and Wrenstar continued her warrior moons in peace, content to gaurding the borders vigorously, beating the life out of any rogue that came near, inside fearing the appearence of her father once more. It was only when the deputy passed away by a terrible storm of whitecough did the leader name Wrenstar his deputy. This caused quite a disturbance and Wrenstar almost refused, but she stepped up to the plate. She is a young leader due to the fact Fallenstar had lost his eighth life in the battle with Wildclaw. He died peacefully in his sleep a mere three moons ago and Wrenstar traveled up to the Starcavern, having received her nine lives.ONE NIGHT OF THE HUNTER
