NAME... Ghostpaw
AGE... Six moons
GENDER... Female
CLAN... Cheetahclan
POSITION... Apprentice
SPECIES... Cheetah
APPEARANCE...Ghostpaw has a sleek look to her, though she still looks a bit disproportionate, as she hasn't quite grown into her legs yet, though it won't be much longer until she does. Her body is thin, her fur smooth. It ruffles a bit around her throat, but elsewhere it hardly sticks up at all. Her patterning is standard, with medium sized black dots splattered all over her sides, back and legs, though they stop abruptly at her ankles. They fade away near her belly and they drastically decrease in size on her face. The stripes between her eyes and mouth are prominent and darker than her spots by a shade. The unique thing about Ghostpaw is her base coat color - a light grey, with maybe only the slightest tint of brown, and only in the right light. It is a coloration that, although rare, has occurred on occasion, and it happened to appear in this young cheetah, earning her the name she flaunts proudly. Her coat is darker around the spots on her face, where that slight brown tinge is a bit stronger and ever-present. That is where the uniqueness ends, however, as her eyes are just as regular as her spotting; a light brown, and nothing more, though they have been said to be rather expressive. This, however, is generally said about Ghostpaw in general, so that is no surprise.
PERSONALITY...The word most often used to describe Ghostpaw is simple, yet it carries so much along with it; Special. But that is just how the young cheetah likes it. She's different, and she's pretty damn proud of it. She may only be six moons, but she already walks around the camp as if she owns it. She has no qualms giving orders, and despite her age she expects each and every one to be followed, just like her nursery-mates followed them. This isn't to say she's unfair in her requests, of course. She can be demanding, but never for anything impossible. It's more the little things, like kicking someone out of "her" spot or telling another apprentice, even an older one, to go grab her a bite to eat. With this prideful manner comes obvious confidence and, quite often, a lack of respect for authority.
Of course, that isn't particularly special on its own, and there is indeed a twist to Ghostpaw's personality. Amidst the authoritative mannerisms she has, she also has boundless energy and a rather short attention span. It isn't uncommon to see her wasting her time chasing a small bird for no reason other than to have fun, or to see her focus divert from one matter to another in a split second with no warning. Her speed, easily one of the fastest in the clan already, carrying over to her speech rather often, particularly when she gets excited. Most just nod, like they understood her, when she gets to talking this fast because they usually can't keep up.
Among these things, she's reckless, a daredevil and a rebel. These three all tie into each other in regards to this cheetah. She has led many an escapade out of the camp bound while still a mere kit, and she rarely made them safe. Most times, she'd go alone despite the danger, and the clan usually found her in the middle of a hunt about to be trampled by antelope. Why? Because she wanted to see what it was like being chased and she thought running from a stampede was the best way to discover how that felt. Needless to say, "curiosity killed the cat" is sometime she has heard often and never listened to. She's stubborn and headstrong, and if she actually listens to you, you should consider yourself lucky. She's pretty sure some of the clan members are taking bets on how long until she bites the dust, but she doesn't have any confirmation on this yet. If it is true, though, she'd probably just take a boost to her ego rather than heed the warning such bets should give her.
HISTORY...Ghostpaw was never an easy cub to handle. She was the first to be born, the first to feed, the first to open her eyes... essentially, she hit every single milestone before her brother, Sunkit. Throughout their moons in the nursery, Ghostkit was probably outside of camp more than she was inside it. It started just a few short days after she walked steadily for the first time and saw the expanse beyond the camp. She had to see it, to smell it, to explore. There would be no stopping her. Despite how vigilent her parents were, or how many clan cats were around to keep an eye on her, she kept managing to slip away; "ghosting" they called it, after her name.
It became a habit; she would do her weekly "ghosting" on varying days so that it was unpredictable. They always found her in the most ridiculous places; up one of the very few trees, with her head stuck in the hole of a meerkat, being chased by a stampede of antelope... The list went on. After two moons of this, they set an apprentice on her tail daily, to keep an eye on her. So, she started sneaking off at night instead. Eventually, it became clear that it was pointless to try and stop her - she managed to "ghost" out of camp despite their best efforts. Some even hoped she got herself killed, just so they didn't have to deal with her. Even her mother got sick of her and near rejoiced when she became an apprentice alongside Sunpaw - and yes, again, she was first to be named an apprentice. She'd openly demanded it when the leader tried to start with her poor brother, and she somehow managed to get her way. Really, they should have just said no, because now she's got a huge ego problem on top of everything else.
