NAME... Blazeheart
AGE... 42 Moons
GENDER... Male
CLAN... TigerCLan
POSITION... Deputy
SPECIES... Indian Tiger
APPEARANCE...Not quite the largest cat in the clan, Blazeheart is a feline of surprising power that comes from his charisma and the swiftness with which he strikes. Unlike some tigers he is not weighed down by pounds upon pounds of muscle, his species favoring a lighter build. A powerful jumper, Blazeheart spends almost more time in the trees than on the ground creating lithe, strong muscles that cling close to his bones and leaves him with little added weight. His pelt takes after his mother Orangeflower's, deep burnt orange in color that lightens near the face with bold black stripes radiating down from his spine. Blazeheart's chest, lower face and the tips of his front paws are white, a subtler version of his uncle Snowfoot's markings. The ears are very slightly tipped white with black rimming where the white is not.
PERSONALITY...A clan cat through and through, Blazeheart became who he is today through unbreakable pride, ambition and a willingness to do whatever it takes to ensure TigerClan's greatness, even if it means getting a little messy in the process. Blazeheart has few fears and many ambitions, namely to become leader of TigerClan. Don't misjudge him, he has no problems being a deputy, so long as the leader he serves is a proper one, but should he find even a tiny reason to mistrust the one he serves, Blazeheart will not hesitate to expose and discredit that feline. He does not tolerate disloyalty in the slightest or anything that may make TigerClan look bad. Blazeheart despises rogues and sneers at the other clans, believing them to be worthless weaklings that are far below his notice. Those that attract his attention can either be raised to high places with Blazeheart as a powerful ally or they may find themselves slain in the middle of the night with random loners to take the blame. In this way, Blazeheart is a cunning feline that uses his intelligence to his gain. He knows what fights to pick and how to pick them, whether gradually and slowly or by rushing his enemy and taking them off guard with his power. Either way, he makes sure that he ends up on top. Blazeheart is cat worth knowing for the sole fact that he can be a powerful ally. A good word from him goes a long way amongst TigerClan cats while a bad word will lead to destruction. He is firm and seen as strict, punishing warriors and apprentices that slack off on hunting or patrolling duties with an iron paw. Arguments against him are met with sharp claws and a promise of a miserable few days for those against him. He belives that complaints are a product of laziness and will tolerate no such things from anyone around him. He worked hard to get to where he is and expects others to do the same and earn their share.
With these qualities, it is hard to tell if Blazeheart is an evil cat or a good cat. He believes in his purpose, to better TigerClan, and believes he can use whatever methods necessary. For those in his clan, he may seem strict and unyielding, but he does it for their own good and belives that if he doesn't do it then no one will and TigerClan will crumble. He frowns on Dragonstar's detatchment from the clan, frowning on the leader's bloodline in general, but he does not make these views public. Blazeheart makes sure to show a good face to the clan, showing the fact of a tom that wants only the best for TigerClan. In private though, to no one left alive after seeing it though, he schemes and hopes to someday removed Dragonstar from power and weed out all the cats from TigerClan that have rogue or loner blood or that otherwise wish to dirty the clan's gene pool with hideous cross-breeds.
HISTORY...The son of one of the clan's prettiest tigresses, Orangeflower, and the former deputy Badgerstripes, it was obvious early on that Blazeheart, Blazekit at the time, was destined for greatness. Born first out of a litter of five, Blazekit had two brothers, Whitethroat and Jasperfur, and two sisters, Copperlily and Opalgaze. Out of the five, he was average in size but within days had shown his dominance in the litter. As a kit he and his brothers wrestled often, a habit encouraged by parents to determine the strongest kits. Blazeheart always had little patience for elders and their tales of the past, finding it a huge waste of time. Who needed the past when the future was all that mattered? No one could change the screw ups of the past, only ensure that they didn't happen again.
At six moons, Blazekit became Blazepaw and was apprenticed to a fierce tigress named Flickerheart. Flickerheart pushed Blazepaw daily to greater heights, thrilled to finally have an apprentice that was driven to excel. When other apprentices lounged around camp in the evenings, Blazepaw would still be cleaning the elders dens or hunting. He detested the chores of cleaning dens, but did them without complaint. In fact, Blazeheart learned his policy about disliking complaints during his apprenticeship to Flickerheart.
At fourteen moons, a very young age, Blazepaw was named Blazeheart, the first of his siblings to recieve his warrior name. Orangeflower and Badgerstripes were amazed and quite proud. Four moons later, Blazeheart recieved his first apprentice just after his brother Jasperpaw became Jasperfur and his sister Copperpaw became Copperlily. His apprentice was named Thistlepaw and Blazeheart became known as a fine mentor. TigerClan glowed with pride as Blazeheart proved himself a worthy warrior and mentor, training Thistlepaw much the same way Flickerheart had trained him, stomping out complaints and forcing in a strong work ethic. He taught Thistlepaw that if he expected to recieve anything from the clan, he had to give everything. When Blazeheart was around twenty-seven moons, Thistlepaw became Thistledown and shortly after Blazeheart recieved his second apprentice, a runty tom named Cedarpaw.
Blazeheart proved himself again to be an outstanding mentor, his apprentices always in his shadow or dutifully fulfilling his orders. Around two months into Cedarpaw's apprenticeship, tragedy struck and stirred Blazeheart's rage against rogues. A small band of rogue lions struck down Badgerstripes, Orangeflower and Copperlily while the threesome were on a patrol. Since then, Blazeheart has never turned down the chance the spill the blood of loners or rogues, especially if they were lions. LionClan, whom for a time he suspected of murder, are also on his list of prime candidates when something goes wrong. In the ghost of his father's death, Blazeheart became TigerClan's deputy. When Blazeheart reached forty moons, Cedarpaw became Cedarstripe and at the moment, Blazeheart awaits another apprentice while continuing to direct TigerClan, often seen glaring at Dragonstar as the leader leaves camp.
