SHE'S A WILD ONE
WITH AN ANGEL'S FACE
SHE'S A WOMAN-CHILD
IN A STATE OF GRACE
name...sunkit//sunpaw//sunclaw//sunstar
age...10 moons
gender...female
clan...LionClan
position...Apprentice
species...Asiatic Lion
apperance...If you looked at her next to any other young lion her age, she wouldn't really stand out which is something Sunpaw hates. She shares the honey-gold coat and has light dapples along her sides and back still from youth. As she matures further these dapples will fade to make her fur a solid beautiful gold. For now though, stuck in that in between of adult and kit, Sunpaw frowns at her spots. She frowns at her ordinariness since she's neither tall nor short. She's not particularly broad in the shoulder, instead she is narrow and small built to be a runner. She'll never be a bulky or particularly powerful she-lion outside of hunting and running. Nope. She's just Sunpaw. She's a bit narrower than most lionesses her age but other than that, she's about as plain as they come. No scars mar her pelt quite yet since she hasn't been in battles and during training there isn't much chance of getting genuinely hurt. When she grows a bit more, Sunpaw will become a refined lioness, narrow in build and light of step. She'll be a magnificent distance runner and a fantastic huntress thanks to her slightly smaller frame.
personality...The only thing that can really be said for Sunpaw is that she is her own cat no matter what you say. She explores well beyond the boundaries of the clan and pokes her nose into everything. There is no secret that she is capable of keeping and no secret that can hide from her curiosity. Sunpaw is confident, perhaps overly so, and regularly bites off more than she can chew. In training she pushes herself well beyond what other apprentices put up with. She may grumble but she'll clean the elder's den, she may gripe but she'll accompany the medicine cat when she has to but in the end, she does it quickly and efficiently. Hunting is her passion especially when she's unhappy. If she's gotten in a fight with someone, chances are you won't find her until she's killed something because Sunpaw's fury is a passion all its own. Because she is an openly expressive feline, Sunpaw doesn't bottle things up or try to bite her tongue when she gets mad. Oh no. She explodes into a rage that is quite formidable for a relatively small lioness. In her anger she seems to grow and her eyes light up with the fires of her rage. It's not unheard of for Sunpaw to have made even a fully grown warrior shrink back, if only out of surprise for all the energy and anger that can explode from one little lioness. Sunpaw will not be talked down to by anyone, be it a fellow apprentice or the clan leader. She simply won't have it. If she has to, Sunpaw will work her tail off to prove them wrong if they question her ability or she'll show them just how good of a scrapper she is. One of her main faults however is Sunpaw's temper, combined with her astounding self-confidence. Other apprentices frown at her for trying to stand out because they think of her as simply ordinary. Sunpaw doesn't want to settle for ordinary. She refuses to. She insists on standing out and showing the world what she's made up and has her sights set on being a leader someday. She won't settle for less. These ambitions, her temper, her overconfidence, they make others often dislike her. A sharp tongue is unladylike and she's got a streak of disobedience a mile wide that makes warriors shake their heads and frown but Sunpaw will show them someday. She was made to shine.
history...Sunkit was born in a litter of one. Her parents were two LionClan warriors named Skyfeather and Brownpelt whom were firmly ingrained in LionClan life. They weren't extraordinary warriors but they were loyal to the bone. They had one previous litter together, a pair of young toms. When Sunkit was born her brothers had already been named Hawktail and Runningfire. During her days in the nursery, Sunkit would sit outside and wait for one or both of them to come traipsing into camp with tales of the outside world. She hung on to their every word about patrols, hunting and Gatherings and had stars in her eyes by two moons old about the glory of being a LionClan warrior. Her brothers were both gently bemused by their sister's adoration and regularly brought her treats and would sneak away whenever they could to tell her stories. Sunkit grew up by her brothers, not her parents. By four moons old Sunkit was already curling her lip at Skyfeather and Brownpelt. They were plain, average in every way and Sunkit hated it. She wanted the adoration and respect she saw in the eyes of other cats when Hawktail and Runningfire stepped into camp.
Before Sunkit was born, Runningfire and Hawktail together chased out an invading patrol of TigerClan warriors and thus became heroes in the clan. Runningfire was an amazing runner, stealthy and quick despite his considerable size. Hawktail was fierce and agile in battle, built with power in every fiber of his being. Sunkit wanted to be like them. They were always together and once she came along, she was always with them. The understood her the way her parents didn't. They saw the stars in her eyes and smiled while her parents scoffed at her dreams of being a leader. She was small and thin, a runner at best but not majestic or strong enough surely to become a leader. As an apprentice, as Sunpaw, she hopes to prove her parents wrong and her brothers right.
