Lithe and lean in stature, he has the characteristic white fur and silvery gray splotches all over his pelt, with startlingly blue eyes. His body isn't too terribly muscular -- it is nothing abnormal for a snow leopard. In fact, one could say he's a little weaker looking than most other big cats. He was the runt in his litter, so his size is fairly small, especially his height. This is only further accentuated with how submissively he carries himself -- tail between his legs, his head held low to the ground, and his ears falling back. His fur is thick and warm to prepare himself for cold winter months. All of this is perfectly normal.
Then, you see the scars on his back. They line his spine and pieces of his tail, moving all the way down his right hind leg. These patches of gray looking skin are rough to the touch and wrinkled looking, as if they had been melted. These burn scars are unable to be hidden, so Ashheart usually carries himself in a strange arching manner so that he can hide the hideous marks as much as possible. PERSONALITYAshheart can barely talk to someone without turning completely red in the face. His shyness makes it nearly impossible to talk to him -- if he is indeed brave enough to talk to someone, it would most likely be stammered out to the point where what he was trying to say would be either inaudible or choked out. It might make him look like a fool, but Ryan's intelligence is actually much farther than what his speech implies. His mind works so fast that he can't even really get words out quickly enough.
He despises anything that resembles conflict, which makes him a pushover. He would much rather walk away from an argument than actually confront someone. He was always fresh meat for bullies to pick on, he finds himself being a scapegoat for the people he loves.
If you happen to be lucky enough to break through Ash's shell and bring him out more, he can be a very fun person to be around. If he's around friends that he trusts, he will slowly come out of himself and joke around. However, this is an extremely rare thing to see if you haven't worked extremely hard at being gentle with him. He will only sink back into himself if you even jokingly make fun of him because his self esteem is so extremely low.
In spite of all this, Ashheart is incredibly kindhearted. His position as medicine cat is perfectly suited for him -- he won't rest until he knows that every cat in his den is safe and healing. He's incredibly motherly and will dote on any warrior that is injured or sick, and he takes the loss of a life extremely personally. However, after his short state of mourning, he dives even more vigorously into his work in order to save more than harm.
