THE ENTIRE WORLD IS FILLED WITH DREAMS AND SHADOWS
NAME... Nightshadow
AGE... thirty-six moons
GENDER... Female
CLAN... Tigerclan
POSITION... Medicine Cat
SPECIES... Tiger
APPEARANCE...Nightshadow is a pretty tiger. Nothing all that special, everything from her rust and soot coat to her sharp claws is pure tiger. She's neither large nor big, thin nor fat. What's striking about this tiger is her eyes. Blue, icy blue, as if she had grown up on the tundra, though her coat shows only the jungle. The other thing you notice about this fem is her grace. She is no klutz, and yet she seems… meek. As if she doesn’t want to hurt anyone. Her movements are always careful, respectful and graceful. Only when she’s angry or on the job does she step into the more confident Medicine Cat that she is. She can often be found surrounded by herbs always learning more about them. When angry she turns from shy to outspoken and dangerous, moving like a shadow and fighting dirty.
PERSONALITY...Shy is one word to describe Nightshadow. She seems to just fade away, even with her eyes. She doesn’t like conflict and will do everything with in her power to make any party back down from a fight, even if she’s one of them. She is caring, and has a passion for making other’s well, either in mind or body. She is hard to anger and once she is she’s easy to placate, unless you truly insult her or someone else that she cares for. She’s hard to ruffle or upset and yet when she is angered she fights dirty and refuses to back down. She’s got a high moral sense and gets irritated when people stray from that path, though only a twitch of her tail will show it. Determined in her own quiet way she’ll never back down from a problem (medical, emotional, etc.) as long as it’s around or she’s not. She hates loosing people that she’s healing, and gets attached to them. She always remembers the face of someone she heals and always tries to keep everyone in her care relaxed. She is quick witted and funny, But only if you push past her quiet and meek exterior. She truly shines when healing though, and anyone can see the healer there, caring and bright. Even if there was another cat hurt from another clan she would heal him or her without a second thought, because all life is precious. She is loyal. Not overtly where everyone can see her, but behind. To those whom she cares for, or she considers good for the clan she will help.
HISTORY...There’s not much excitement here for Nightshadow. She was the middle cub of her litter, never getting big, nor small, though from the beginning she proved she was a healer. After milking for the first time she turned to her little sister and nudged her up to a teat forcing the little cub to drink and live. And that’s how it went. Always stepping back and even going hungry when another needed it. She had food, and if need be she’d come back later, it didn’t matter. Her father was proud of her. He was just a mere warrior and wanted no more in life. Her mother was proud of her cubs, but had to move on as she was a Deputy. That left Nightshadow and her two sisters to fend for themselves. The other two grew up to be warriors like their father.
Not Nightshadow. She was drawn to the healing area even before her mother moved back to work. The herbs and smells, tastes everything about it kept dragging the young kit to the healing areas. And of course the Medicine Cat at the time took her in as his apprentice. Taking care of her easily, and teaching her all he knew. Clouddance was a good healer and taught her much, but she was a natural and he was soon learning from her. Then one sad day, he died, leaving her as the dubious honor of becoming the medicine cat. A part of her was proud. The other not so much. She wasn’t ready! This couldn’t be right. But her father came to her again, and told her he was proud of her. And she believed him. She could do this.
It wasn’t long after before her clan went to war. Only she was left alive of her family, and still she kept going. Forcing herself to deal and move on. That’s all she could do anyways. There was no point to cry. She kept working, and found herself feeling better as she forced herself to understand they were gone but she was here, and she was going to make them proud.
