A single solitary voice pierced the cavern, ringing out in a booming echo that the speaker let off a slight giggle at. He moved like an otherworldly monster through the clan cats sacred cavern, brushing his tail over the star-speckled reflecting pools in the cool rock beneath his feet, and disrupting the illusion of the night sky. The bright light of a half moon shone through the gaping holes in the ceiling, casting the cave into an eerie white light. "A tale...." His voice caused drops of water that had accumulated on the ceiling above to drip to the floor, speckling the ground around him in faint plopping water marks. "....for kittens." As if to strengthen his words, the leopard settled himself beside one of the slowly growing pools, and proceeded to stab a claw into each separate reflection of a star. Mere stories. He had heard before his arrival in clan terrain of the mythical ancestors who walked the world above that the clanners believed in. They thought of those ancestors and past clanmates as Gods- just as he thought of his Rogue as gods. He had been told that clan members could commune with these spirits, and the very thought sent his spine tingling. If the clan cats could communicate with their fabricated gods in a divine place- well, didn't that mean he could as well? Intent to channel the Rogue through use of the clans holy place, he had meandered out to the star cavern on their special starclan-communicating date, arriving hours before to try and use their space before being discovered. He had been there for hours now, pacing the cave and willing himself to be visited by one of his gods. None, quite obviously, had answered. "They are punishing me," whined the leopard aloud, a grating note tagging the end of his voice, as if he had been growling to himself in the starlight for the past few minutes. "They are upset because I have made no sacrifices...." the second whisper came, and the feline wailed silently to himself, a sight that would have scent pinpricks down the backs of even the most bravest of cats, had he been caught making such a gruesome grimace. Swirling a single clawed toe through the clear water of the star-spangled pool, he flattened his ears and continued to mock stab at the stars that represented the clan cats ancestors, ripping them apart in the reflection like a rabbit in the claws and jaws of a beast. "Or perhaps this is the silence of approval...." his voice sounded out once more, followed by an eerie giggling noise, and a rustle as the leopard rolled onto his back and stared into the pool upside down, as if treating the ground as his sky and the sky that shone through the holes above as his ground. He lay there for several moments, before repositioning himself upright and continuing his riping of the reflection-stars glowing flesh. "One sacrifice... two sacrifice..." His voice droned into the dark, echoing in the empty place like a scream in a canyon. "Three sacrifice... are you happy now? Four sacrifice..." He continued to rip at the nonexistent in the water, blissfully unconcerned about the time, or the fact that medicine cats from the clans might soon.... come pouring.... in.... ooc; I'd prefer a medicine cat or two for him to toy with, as he is in their cave on the half-moon day.
